Designer Rebecca Minkoff is known for her out-of-the-box thinking, so it makes sense that this season she’s focusing her efforts on activism in alliance with The Women’s March. As New York Fashion Week approaches, Minkoff is, once again, foregoing a runway show for something different.
Joining forces with an inspiring and diverse group of women, including key activists, march committee members, influencers, actresses, and trailblazers, a portrait series was born that features inspiring messages and stories from these #RMSuperwomen.
So what, exactly, is RMSuperwomen? Minkoff launched the new platform for women as a place to spark dialogue and share knowledge. Follow @rmsuperwomen on Instagram for a daily dose of female support, community, and inspiration. (The platform also plans to launch events.) The designer wants to remind us and provoke us to stay fearless—and that’s a mission we share.
In New York City, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas, RM Superwomen marched sporting items from Rebecca Minkoff’s latest collection: impactful slogan sweatshirts in commemoration of the day. We marched alongside Rebecca in New York, Tamara sporting the “Superwomen” style and Rebecca “The Force Is Female.” Each will be available soon. Below, shop two of the most in-demand styles from the collection.

We talked to Rebecca about her newest handbag, the Christy, also being carried in full force at the march. (Tamara carried the Christy medium in white, Rebecca the small with guitar strap.) We love the Christy for its polished, structured shape, and plentiful inner pockets. Swap out its chain strap for one of her wider guitar straps, which is how Rebecca styles her Christy. Rebecca's favorite way to wear it? “On a guitar strap with a boho dress and leather jacket," says the self-proclaimed Downtown Romantic.

Nantasha and Breanne both wear Christy Bags and Thompson Midrise Jeans; Nantasha wears the Pearl Wes Moto Jacket; Breanne wears the Wolf Jacket. All by Rebecca Minkoff.
