Designer Rebecca Minkoff is one of my oldest and closest friends, so I have a front-row seat to her busy schedule. Between running the Rebecca Minkoff brand, her involvement in big projects for her Female Founder Collective, and being a wife and a mother to three---she's constantly on the go. With Female Founder's Day around the corner on March 4th, the launch of Little Minkoff, her environmentally-friendly line for children, and a fragrance on the way, Becky is busier than ever. So I was intrigued to hear about the kinds of things she carries with her to all those meetings, when she's picking up her kids from school, to all her post-work events, and everything else in between. And while her personal style is the epitome of cool-meets-simple, her criteria for the products she uses and stands behind is not so laid back. What Rebecca Minkoff chooses to buy and to use is chosen with care and the utmost integrity, and is reflected in her list below.
I carry all my cards and ID in my Rebecca Minkoff card holder. I like to have gum in my bag, so I carry Orbit for its mild mint flavor. I love Burt's Bees lip balm because of it's clean formula and the fact that it smells like honey. I also keep Honest mascara on hand. It actually makes your lashes look long. And I always carry my to-do's with me in the form of a big stack of papers! Including checks to cash or deposit. I always carry a R.E.D.D. planted-based protein bar. They're low in sugar, gluten-free, and dairy-free, which is important to me. I forget to eat sometimes, and RE.D.D. bars in chocolate taste so good on the go. And these days, I'm not going anywhere without our new Darren shoulder bag. It can be worn crossbody, under the arm, or on the shoulder. I love it in taupe suede. The perfect color--- that reminds me of a puppy.
