While Looks In White Were Popular, An Eclectic Array Ruled

Emily Blunt: I adore the stunning neckline of this dress by Schiaparelli. It's time to give strapless a break! The color palette shows restrained elegance, and is incredible on her. Her Chopard earrings make a statement of their own. They are divine, and I don't use the word "divine".
Salma Hayek: Yes all the way to this Gucci; to this combination of chunky crystals and lavender paillettes. She chose the perfect shade of lipstick to complement her dress and simple, pulled back hair was the right choice keeping all the drama to the gown itself.
Zendaya: I was blown away by her choice of this incredibly chic Giambattista Valli gown and the way it was styled with sleek hair and stand out diamonds by Bulgari. She can carry all that volume, and while it might of been a risky choice for someone else it was a perfect choice for her.
Jennifer Lawrence: Hair and makeup really helped to create this totally fresh take on the metallic gown. Lawrence was cool on the carpet in pronounced waves and a heavily shadowed and wing eye. This look by Dior suited her personality in burnished (not glaring) sequins that are modern, and delicate straps that felt age appropriate.

Darrell Britt Gibson: I'm a sucker for a fitted jacket and a cropped pant. The pink satin with contrasting lapels is so perfect
Eva Marie Saint: More than just a stunning silhouette, at 93 she looked just as gorgeously gamine as any actress (like Elle Fanning or Michelle Williams) in their 20's and 30's on the red carpet in her embellished column dress.
Saorise Ronan: The subdued hue in this Calvin Klein millennial pink gown with a sleekly sculpted bodice and train made a perfect look for Ladybird's Saorsie Ronan. Definitely my favorite look of the night.
Timothee Chalamet: I couldn't imagine a more perfect look (in my opinion the best actor of the year) for Timothee Chalamet's first Oscar ceremony. The white Berluti tux grounded by patent Chelsea boots was "I mean business" with a hint of baptismal.

Jennifer Lawrence: This look for me was a hundred-times yes and a real testament to the power of hair and makeup. Had she worn her hair sleek and straight, even in an up-do, this metallic moment wouldn’t have been my top pick of the night. But her tight messy curls, smokey cat eye and matte lip transformed the body-hugging gown, making it fresh and of-the-moment. P.S. #GirlCrush.
Saorise Ronan: I love a crisp silhouette on the red carpet, especially in pink, and this shade is just right. The oversized bow in the back is a departure from Calvin Klein's classic lines, but it's done in a tasteful way that makes Saorise stand out without begging to.
Jennifer Garner: A total bombshell in bold blue. I’m not sure it was the dress itself, but the way Jennifer carried herself on the red carpet that made me go "wow." She exuded a sexy and serious confidence that I haven't seen from her before. The voluminous side-swept waves, clean makeup, and gorgeous diamond and blue sapphire Piaget earrings definitely added to her sophisticated vibes.
Danai Gurira: Again, I'm a sucker for blush pink, so the Black Panther star's satin Gabriela Hearst dress immediately caught my eye. But what really amplified her look was the glittery hand-drawn design painted on the left side of her head. This accessory risk was definitely worth taking. Talk about fearless.

Margot Robbie: As a bride-to-be, I instantly gravitated to Margot's look. I love the clean lines and elegant silhouette. The off-the-shoulder embellishments adorn the Chanel dress as the perfect accessory. The lucite clutch is the perfect touch to this already perfect look.
Emily Blunt: Emily was a vision in this aqua silk polka dot tulle Schiaparelli gown. I love the pale palette that was consistent from head-to-toe.
Gal Gadot: From the moment I saw Gal, I was obsessed with her entire look. The Givenchy gown shimmered from top to bottom and was paired with an equally stunning pendant necklace. Her sleek hair and red lip is #goals for beauty.
Zendaya: Zendaya embodies a goddess in this chocolate chiffon Giambattista Valli gown. She looked effortless and so cool in the flow-y fitted silhouette. I loved the top knot hair and bronze glam.
