BODY | YOGA
I'VE BEEN PRACTICING YOGA SINCE I WAS 19 YEARS OLD. IT'S BY FAR MY MOST FAVORITE FORM OF WORKING OUT. BUT I PRACTICE NOT ONLY FOR MY BODY, YOGA HAS HELPED MY MIND MORE THAN ANYTHING I'VE EVER TRIED BEFORE. IT CENTERS AND GROUNDS ME, AND CONNECTS ME TO MYSELF AT MY CORE. AS SOON AS I WAKE UP, BEFORE THE BABY OR ANYONE ELSE IS AWAKE, I TAKE OUT MY MAT AND DO A QUICK YOGA FLOW. EVEN JUST FOR FIVE MINUTES. IT GETS MY BLOOD FLOWING, AND HELPS ME TO FEEL ENERGIZED FOR THE DAY.
BEAUTY | DIY SCRUBS
AT HOME, I LOVE MAKING NATURAL, HOMEMADE SCRUBS FOR MY BODY. I'LL TAKE WHATEVER WORKS FROM MY PANTRY, WHETHER IT'S LEMON WITH OLIVE OIL, ROSEMARY AND HIMALAYAN SALT, OR BROWN SUGAR, OATMEAL, AND HONEY. I LOVE MAKING DIFFERENT COMBINATIONS THAT SMELL DELICIOUS, AND I LOVE KNOWING EXACTLY WHAT I'M PUTTING ON MY BODY. THE ONE I MADE TODAY HAS HONEY, TURMERIC, AND BROWN SUGAR. IT'S GREAT FOR ELIMINATING DEAD SKIN, MOISTURIZING, AND ADDING A LITTLE GLOW. IT'S A FAST AND EASY OPTION FOR A FUN, QUICK, AND AFFORDABLE AT-HOME SPA EXPERIENCE.
BABY | TOYS
BEFORE HAVING CHILDREN I HAD ALL THESE IDEAS IN MY HEAD ABOUT HOW THINGS WERE GOING TO BE, AND THE THINGS THAT I WAS GOING TO DO. IT'S VERY CLEAR THOUGH, THAT ONCE YOU HAVE A CHILD IT ALL GOES OUT THE DOOR. BUT WHEN IT COMES TO TOYS FOR HIM, WE TRY TO KEEP THINGS AS NATURAL AS POSSIBLE. I LOVE THE SUBSCRIPTION COMPANY LOVEVERY, EACH MONTH THEY DELIVER A BOX WITH GREAT, EDUCATIONAL TOYS FOR CHILDREN THAT ARE FUN, SAFE, AND NON-TOXIC. OF COURSE HIS FAVORITE THING TO PLAY WITH...IS THE BOX THAT EVERYTHING COMES IN. QUICK UPDATE: IN LAST WEEK'S ARTICLE I TALKED ABOUT THE SONGS THAT I LOVE TO SING TO MY BABY, SO I'M EVEN MORE EXCITED TO SHARE THAT MY LULLABY ALBUM TITLED FOREVER IS BEING RELEASED THIS FALL!
