HOW TO CREATE AN INKY EYE
Summer skin should be dewy and glowy, and the eye to compliment that is 'inky'. It's a look that isn't smoky or powdery, instead it's deeply opaque and creamy in texture. Keep the rest of the face natural and fresh. Makeup artist Katrina Klein likes to prep the skin for a hydrated look with Chanel Hydra Beauty Camellia Water Cream, for a glowing and even-toned appearance. To create an inky eye, use an eye kohl or gel eyeliner to fully line the eye, top and bottom, with a lot of product. Squeeze your eyes together and blend whatever looks too messy with your finger. It should almost look like you have slept in your eyeliner. Add a lot of mascara, and you are good to go. “If you want to make it more glossy, which is what I did on Sarah”, says Katrina, "add a balm slightly around the lash lines, and just before you apply the eyeliner."
the right way to wet-look hair
First apply Oribe Gold Lust Nourishing Hair Oil from root ends thoroughly. Next, gently comb the product in and scrunch the hair. Using a Harry Josh Pro Tools 3 In 1 Curling Iron, curl pieces in different sections to create texture.
Lastly, flip hair upside down and give it a shake for volume and movement.
Hairstylist Mashal Afzalzada says: Wet-look hair is a genius, effortless hairstyle that adds beautiful sheen with the added bonus of moisturizing, hydrating, and strengthening your hair. Pro Tips: Be mindful of how oil-based products may transfer onto clothing. Avoid the look if you have tape-in extensions, as it can loosen the adhesive.
